What Is BHAM 2026?
America Sings! brings a powerful day of song, service, and community to Birmingham, Alabama. All registered participants will gather for a massedāfinale performance at the Avondale Amphitheater, led by John Jacobson, featuring music and choreography specially selected for this event. Choirs will also have the opportunity to share their own voices in individual ensemble performances.
Schedule Highlights
- Opening Rehearsal ā Saturday morning, tentatively 8:00 AM ā 10:00 AM. Participants will rehearse the massed finale music and choreography.
- Massed Finale ā All singers unite in a collaborative grand finale at Avondale Amphitheater.
- Individual Ensemble Performances ā Choirs may perform a 15āminute set. These spots are limited and assigned on a firstācome, firstāserved basis.
- Service Component ā True to the America Sings spirit, all groups are encouraged to take part in a local service opportunity, connecting music with meaningful community action.
Registration & Fees
- Full registration deadline: February 26, 2026
- Late registration: Begins March 1, 2026, with a $10 per participant late fee
- Deposit: A nonārefundable $200 deposit secures your groupās participation and individual performance slot. Deposit due by November 1, 2025
- Participant fee: $35 per person (including students, directors, and chaperones)
- Local schools discount: Ensembles from Jefferson, Walker, Shelby, and Tuscaloosa counties are eligible for a special local rate
